The original picture is a little hard to judge because the Asian model is built differently than I am so it looks perfect on him (model... obviously lol) but I admit it felt a little odd for me to be wearing an arrival of clothing so outside of the cultural norm for America. Looks great on the model but not so much me lol I felt i looked out of place. That being said, the material was so much better than I expected... the quality is excellent. It is navy bue, tan (the places in the design that look white in the picture are actually tan), and light blue. The contrast between the dark navy and the "white" or "off-white" design does not exist in the actual cloak. It would be inaccurate to wear the stone-bleached khakis as shown in the picture--tan would match much better. The design in the picture is more crisp-looking than in the actual cloak. The cloak's actual design seems a bit "blurry" or "fuzzy" in comparison. The design is printed on linen (similar to table linen); however, it is lightweight and makes a nice, light cover up to take the edge out of a chilly morning or evening--- fine for early-to- mid fall or mid-to-late spring. For the price, it is what it is--more functional more than fancy. It's meant to hang open not to be cinched at the waist. It hangs long on me as I am 5'2" (It hits me a little lower than mid-thigh, but it's several inches above my knee). It will be very easy to hem--should I decide to go that route.Sizes: I am female and wear either a missy XL or a women's 1X. I bought a Medium and it fits me fine (hanging open). I would surmise that a Small would be appropriate for a missy S or M; the Medium would be appropriate for a Missy L, a MIssy XL, or a Women's 1X; and the large for a women's 2x; and an extra-Large for a women's 3x.
