Review: Perfect size for sake - beautiful quality - I bought a pair of these specifically for cold sake. It worked very well for that. It was able to keep my cup of chilled sake cold for several hours while I sipped. The size is just perfect: very comfortable to hold, perfect for a 5 or 6 ounce pour with enough extra room for the liquid to slosh around slightly during handling without spilling. The look is beautiful. I thought I saw a review complaining about the finish being the painted-on wood over metal instead of authentic wood, but I personally found the finishing beautiful. And I know I wouldn’t get the same insulation performance from wood that I get from this vacuum insulated stainless steel cup. The surface finish has sort of a nice “glow” to it. Just aesthetically very pleasing to me. My only complaint is the lack of a lid. Because I’m using this cup as I walk around my house going through my routines, I forgot several times already that this cup doesn’t have a lid. As a result, I’ve already knocked over and spilled two cups of perfectly good sake. Regardless of the lack of a lid, I liked the first pair so much, I immediately ordered another pair for my house.
