It’s thick and obviously very warm, and the seller is first rate, but I had to return it for a refund because it is the funniest looking hat I’ve ever seen outside a circus funhouse. It’s super thick and stiff and sat a good 9 inches above my head when I had it on. When I tried adding a cuff to reduce the amount of excess wool above my head it became too tight to get around my scull. I feel sincerely bad saying anything negative, but I actually looked like a garden gnome wearing this hat. I suppose if you’re working at an arctic weather station and haven’t the slightest bit of vanity, this hat may become your best friend.
