Review: Quality bit for the price - I surfaced a 24" by 30" slab of oak with this bit and a forty year old Craftsman router. It did the job with no problem with fantastic results. Yes the bit is bit short because it's a 1/4" shank but I knew that going in and when I made my surfacing jig table I compensated for that. Within a couple of minutes of my learning curve I was amazed by the results. I bought two bits just in case but the first one is still sharp. I only took off maybe an eight of an inch every time and let the router do the work without forcing it too hard. Very happy with the performance.
