It’s often found in energy drinks that gets you going. Digging deeper, Taurine plays a role in achieving & maintaining a healthy body composition. It does this by digesting fat & absorbing fat soluble minerals. Taurine also regulates mineral balance, especially calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium.• Taurine is also a popular training aid for weight lifters and other athletes. It performs as a cell volumizer, drawing water into the muscles and leading to greater nutrient absorption. Nutricost is becoming a go-to for me. You can't beat their prices, and everything I've tried from them over the years has been a quality, clean product.Taurine is extremely beneficial, especially when taken on an empty stomach. Some studies have suggested that it helps the heart make a fuller contraction, thus expelling more "stale" blood from the bottom of the left ventricle. That would allow for more fresh, oxygen-rich blood to flow in, promoting heart health. My favorite thing is the lack of negative side effects with Taurine. I've used just about every natural, legal supplement there is, and now this is the only one I use.

Otherwise, it seems good. I just started using it as a couch potato, not for bodybuilding. It dissolves easily, and there is no taste I deduct in lemon water or a caffeine drink.As someone else mentioned, I immediately noticed no scoop and probably took more than one serving using a larger scoop I had. After a few days of digging down further, I seemed to hit a rock. It was the keep dry thingy quite big, and I had to work hard to dig it out.Digging deeper... I finally found the tiny scoop. So if the scoop is missing, as some reviews indicate, keep digging down, and you will likely find it hidden - feel for hard things. I first thought the Taurine was just climbed together hard... but no, it was the big keep dry thing and further down the scoop :)

I notice a positive difference using it. Very happy with it.

I have done Zumba dancing for many years so I'm very familiar with what my energy should be during a class. At age 70 I noticed that my energy level dropped so I could only do about half the class before I felt very tired. I began to take taurine which is often added to so-called energy drinks. Within a few days I noticed a return of my energy. I now take 2 grams of taurine daily and also give it to my husband. I think the Nutricost product is excellent since it's pure and tasteless and dissolves readily in food. I plan to take this continuously from now on. Energy drinks contain caffeine, sugar and artificial color which I would rather avoid. It's better to take the pure taurine.

Kitty likes it in his food and will be administered ad infinitum for heart health
