Review: GREAT product! - This foil sticker paper is great. And the price is great. This one looks like (or is) real shiny gold foil. It’s a nice number of pages in the pack for the price, it will last me forever. I like that it’s self-adhesive sticker paper. I tried using glue to attach and it just got everywhere, it was an ugly mess. There are a bunch of competing products. Many of them don’t work with inkjet printers. Or else they’re more like yellow paper with a sparkly texture. I tried one of those other brands first and returned it, before I finally found this one. Printing black text on this foil with an inkjet printer looks plenty crisp and black enough for me. I let the paper sit and dry for a while after it was printed, just in case, like some other reviewers suggested, but really I found it was ready for use right away and didn’t smear with my finger, not even right out of the printer.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: It says printable. What kind of printer must you use?**
A: I have tried both a Canon Pixma 110 and a Brother MFC laser printer. The laser toner will not properly fuse to the foil. With genuine Brother toner it will come out of the printer intact, but you must use a fixative or clear-coat spray to avoid the toner from rubbing or scratching off. The inkjet printer gave the best results, but to be on the safe side I used a fixative spray which did not detract from either the print or the foil, and seems to be quite adequate. I successfully cut the foil with a Brother Scan 'n Cut, and the result was quite satisfactory. I've ordered another two packs of the printable foil.

**Q: Can I just cut these with the Silhouette without printing? I'd like to just cut shapes out of it to use as stickers!**
A: Yep! It's just like any other thing you can cut with the machine. It shows you what settings and whatnot to use when cutting

**Q: Is this paper appropriate for use with a Cuttlebug die cutting machine? (Manual, not digital). Thanks!**
A: I have a Cuttlebug and just tested it, and am sorry to say I did not get great results in the Cuttlebug.  The foil is pretty thick, so although it looked beautifully embossed, it did not cut cleanly through all the edges.  I didn't try any extra shims, but ran it through forward and backward for that test.

**Q: In a tutorial on these comments it seems they use a fancy printer, but I just have a regular hp inkjet. Is it possible for me to get the cutouts?**
A: I am not sure what you mean by cutouts.   If you are referring to the cutter that looks like a printer, no.    Watch out with an inkjet printer also.   I had ink smear the next day.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product - but beware for Print & Cut jobs...

Overall, this product is great - finished product looks super fancy and high quality. I used it to make custom chinese red envelope favors for a 100 day birthday celebration. That said, you do need to do some homework prior to using this product for print and cuts. I've wasted a full package and tore my hair out before I finally figured out how to use this with my Silhouette Cameo - for that, I'm taking off a star. The problem is that the foil causes issues with the machine reading the registration marks, and your cuts end up being misaligned. I tried changing the thickness of the registration marks per another reviewer, and that did not make a difference. What was successful, was cutting out 1.5 inch squares of white sticker paper (e.g. Avery brand; you can also change the length of the registration marks to make sure everything fits) and sticking that onto the corners of the foil where the registration marks would go prior to feeding it into the printer. Then proceed as usual - the silhouette machine will be able to read the registration marks properly and cut perfectly.
