That said, I did remove the water regulator. If I'm going to pay this much for a shower head, I want the best use out of it. It was okay with it, but it is much better without it. However, before you decide to remove it, please understand it is very difficult and took me about 30 minutes of pulling and prying with a lot of different tools, but finally I got it. If you decide to remove it yourself, just be careful not to damage the threads when you are trying to get it out. Now it works like a dream.
