My daughter had been given this book by her sister. I read it while in Ireland and it enjoyed it so much that I wanted my own copy.It was very informative on many subjects and offer very practical advise on them and how to gain skills.

This is my favorite book to give as a high school or college graduation present.  It is a well-written, thoughtful, useful guide to so many of life's challenges.  Divided into four sections (i.e., Home & Yard, Health & Beauty, Travel & Sports, Accident and Emergency), this will be the book that the young adults in your life turn to when they can't (or won't call you.  This covers everything from how to clean an oven to how to change a flat tire.  And I do mean everything!  Some other topics are "how to unblock a sink," "how to build a fire," "how to make a cold frame," "how to tie a bow tie," how to hold a baby," "how to hook up jumper cables," "how to make a kite," "how to find the Southern Cross," how to perform CPR,".....well, you get the idea.  It's a perfect resource and a fun read.
