Newer motherboards have this and should be 3pin. For my motherboard, X570 Taichi the layout = Pin, Pin, Blank, Pin. If you try to use this with a 4 pin 99.9% chance of frying something. **Q: Have 2 M1 strips individually they fully light up when I try to connect them only 1 3pin on mobo the last 1/3rd doesn't light up any help is welcome** A: You should check your motherboard's software that controls the lighting strips. It probably has a setting for the # of addressable pixels that it will send control sequences to. (ie: A typical Corsair light strip only has 10 pixels so their software will only send out a control sequence of 10 unless you tell it you have multiple led strips connected in series). If it's not obvious, try changing the software to think it's controlling an argb fan or some device with more lights. **Q: My asus prime x570 pro has a 3pin 5v. This will work correct?** A: It might, depending on how many led strips you plan attaching on it. For me, I had to buy the separate phanteks rgb hub because my MSI X570 carbon did not have enough power to control it.
