You have to pull hard on the stem and then there is no "feel" as the hands turn. The "feel" when setting this watch is different than all my previous experience with wind-up pocket watches, when people used them as their only time piece. The other thing missing is instructions for how to change the battery. I assume that one just uses a tool like a screwdriver to pry off the back. I'd like to know the right way to do it.This watch is for a gift, and I would not hesitate to buy another one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good watch. Luckily the seller or someone set the time initially on the watch to my timezone and almost to the second with what my atomic synced cell phone shows. (granted this could be pure coincidence but..)- I only ordered one watch but as others have noted the watch box came in a larger Amazon shipping box and unlike any other amazon package I have ever received there was NO packing material whatsoever. None, Zip, Nill, Nada. There is foam in the smaller watch box but in my case the watch box was crushed on one side (even tho there were no other things in the amazon box) The item was unharmed as far as i can see but the internals must have taken quite a beating. Might be why some peoples stop working after a few weeks.Overall not a bad watch and I am happy with my purchase thus far.
