Yes it is loose, but if you really tuck it in and tie it right it looks and works fine. I did a considerable amount of research and read customer reviews before making the purchase and really thought that these covers would work well for us. I didn't want to spend $75-$100 on a seat cover (especially because we needed two). The price on these was great and the material quality is satisfactory. However, the "loose fit" is too loose in some areas and not loose enough in others. For the price paid - I can not complain. The material quality and workmanship seem to be very good. For me, the design is what falls short. We won't be returning them because they will serve our needs, I was just hoping they would "look" a little nicer then they do. The picture is a bit deceiving because even with smoothing and tucking the covers will not become this form fitted. And we have the largest (73") loveseat that these covers fit.
