Considering the fact that the average TENS unit outputs about 80 mA, 70,000 mA seems like enough electricity to supply power to New York City for a week. I'm joking but that amount does seem extreme. Maybe someone with some knowledge of electricity can make sense of it. **Q: How long are the cords on the unit? I need it for lower calf pain and was wondering if they are long enough to fit under clothing to use at work.** A: They should be long enough to reach from the lower leg, up over your waste band and into your pocket. The unit is marvelous. **Q: Do I need to replace pad every time? Or between family member use?** A: No the pads get replaced only when they no longer will stick to the skin. I have used mine for over 50-75 times and they still stick, although I have rinsed them with water a few times.
