Of course it depends a bit on how cold it is outside and how well insulated your windows are. Our living and dining room area is about 14x30ish with TERRIBLE insulation (80 year old house w/a couple concrete walls) and we keep two of these at opposite ends running 24/7 in the winter, usually set to 70. In the spring we've only kept one on and often turn it off for being to warm. I would recommend setting the heater to 70-75 and just leave it on eco setting. They take a little time to heat up a room but once they're going they keep it toasty. Just remove from box, flip out pre-attached wheels and plug it in. Since it is radiant heat, it takes a few hours to warm up the room but after that our large room stays warm. We are using the heater in our basement and it is working perfectly. It comes with a remote control. The remote is a nice feature but not really necessary.
