Review: Got an ugly oil stain? Here is the fix! - I can't say enough good things about Terminator-HSD. A couple of years ago I had a 2003 BMW X5 that needed an oil change. For those of you who are familiar with this vehicle, it requires 8 quarts of fully synthetic oil. It took about 45 minutes to do the job in my driveway. After finishing, I went inside the house and cleaned up. Shortly thereafter there was a knock on my front door by one of my neighbors. He pointed to the driveway and the street and said I think your car has a problem. I sure did. Upon closer inspection I determined that hand tightening the oil filter wasn't enough. All the 8 quarts of oil had leaked out! I did my best to mop up what I could with towels and anything else I could find. All down my driveway and into the street was this huge oil stain. I tried about every product I could find over the next couple of days to clean it up to no avail. I almost gave up until I found a video on YouTube showing Terminator-HSD in action. The title was "Terminator HSD Concrete Cleaner Oil Stain Remover." It looked pretty good so I ordered it on desertcart. Given the size of the stain I ordered 3 - 2 pound containers of the product. Until it arrived I noticed people driving by house gawking and laughing at my driveway. Before the product arrived I received a phone call from the company that manufacturers the product. I kid you not! They were calling to let me know there were there to help if i needed it. The product arrived and I couldn't wait to get started. I read the instructions and went to work. Basically you lightly dust the oil stain and brush it in and around until fully covered. That's it. In a few days, I began to see the stain get smaller, and smaller and finally gone. Given the size of my stain I think it took about 2 weeks to completely get rid of the ugly stain. Folks i give you my word, this product is awesome and works as advertised!
Review: Works Best If You Keep It Damp - I had/have some sort of combination of an oil and wax stain on a limestone mantel (very thick--might have been a wax candle or scent melt, might have been lamp oil) that additionally hadn't been cleaned in 50+ years. I bought 3 products for grease/oil stain removal on stone. limestone is very porous and the stain was thick. The other cleaners + a metal brush + elbow grease did a good job when the stain was on or near the surface. This did an excellent job penetrating below. At first I tried the "dampening every once in awhile" technique but was very disappointed. Then, I left a damp sponge on top of the treated stain. That was the ticket! Makes sense that keeping the bacteria wet would allow it to be continuously active. The result was that the stone in that area was much cleaner and lighter. The shadow was still there but my visit was coming to an end so I put off another treatment for another visit. I experimented with a steam cleaner to see how it worked on that area and the rest of the mantel. The area with the faded stain behaved differently. It took on a whitish hue and dried much faster. I was worried for a quick minute that I hadn't read the label correctly and it had something in it that had etched the surface. Nope, no etching. I suspect that there is still a fine coating of waxy oil in the pores. like I say, another application for another time. I'm going to try doing the whole mantel at once and keeping it wet to see how it works on dirt and grime. The only other cleaner that worked markedly well on grime was ammonia based and had 'amines' in it. It worked better than ammonia alone and not as well with ammonia combined with an enzymatic pet stain remover. It helped a lot on the above surface stain.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: does this product come with guarantee**
A: We offer a full satisfaction guarantee. We have found, though, that if a customer does not see the results he/she expects, the reasons include: 1) Use of Terminator-HSD AFTER other chemicals have been used on the stain 2) Use of Terminator-HSD in an exceptionally dry area with no added moisture (see instructions) 3) Use of Terminator-HSD in an exceptionally HOT area, where the concrete/asphalt temperatures are greater than 150 degrees during the day, which kills the microbes in our product 4) Not giving the product enough time to work 5) Not following the instructions If you use the product and are dissatisfied, simply contact us and we will help you with suggestions, or refund your money. Thanks,Terradis

**Q: Does it work on antifreeze stains?**
A: On concrete it worked cleaning transmission oil, and coolant/antifreeze. There are no visible stains, this product worked quickly and effectively. On the asphalt it did not work on anything. Even when following the directions exactly.

**Q: Does the temperature affect how it works? Is there a min and max temp range to follow?**
A: Quoted from DLJ: Yes, temperature does affect the product. The min range is 38F and max is 150F. This range is the concrete surface temperature, which is not always the same as the air temperature. On a hot summer day, outdoor concrete temperatures in the direct sun can easily become 150 F, which kills a portion of the microbes in the product. In the Winter, ground temperatures in the direct sun can be much warmer than the air temperature; in other words, the product can still be working on a 25 F day. Freezing days do not harm the product, it just slows the process way down. Hope this helps.DLJ answered on November 12, 2014

**Q: Does it remove synthetic motor oil stain from concrete?**
A: Synthetic motor oil generally contains some chemicals that originate from crude oil, which the product would consume. I would say that with a few exceptions it will likely consume some to all of the stain depending on the composition of the synthetic oil. each brand will have it's own formula so only trying it will tell you how it works on that specific brand.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great but patience is a requirement.
*by R***D on August 7, 2015*

I have a very leaky Jeep Liberty CRD (2.8L Turbo Diesel). And so I have many a dark and light stain from oil and diesel all over my drive way. I also seem to have a very un happy HOA when it comes to said drive way. They wanted me to have it clean or they would charge. I went with this stuff thanks to its reviews. And, thrilled. Had to get a pressure washer to clear the top layer of oil and such. Then was just a matter of sprinkling this on and sweeping it, and re wetting. For my small drive way, the 3 pounds might have been a bit much as I have not even made a dent in the bottle. But will be handy to have. 3 weeks later, and there is a very noticeable difference in the stains. This stuff is definitely a patience thing. But does work. It's pulling some pretty deep dark stuff out. I do put a fresh sprinkle on once a week, and re wet once every other day. I live in Salt Lake so pretty dry and hot right now. But, a little bit of effort to have it actually remove the stain and getting concrete looking back to good looking, worth it.
