The Cristal de Paris Yvan Cristal Champagne Flutes set features six exquisite hand-cut flutes made from 24% lead crystal, showcasing brilliant jewel colors and designed to enhance the light-reflecting surfaces for a sparkling experience. Made in France and beautifully packaged, these flutes are perfect for any celebration or as a luxurious gift.

## Description

Beautiful color crystal glasses 24% lead. Hand cut cased crystal for brilliant sparkle. Cased crystal is made out of two layers of crystal melted together - a colored layer of crystal on the outside and a clear layer on the inside. The outer colored layer is then cut away to reveal the clear layer underneath. Note that color is added to molten crystal and is then blown. This is the traditional and highest quality way of making crystal colorful. Due to this two-layer technique, each piece is blown twice making it significantly more valuable than similar clear crystal. Many producers do take short cuts by simply painting their clear crystal. This process gives the pieces a tendency to scratch and fade over time and ruin their value. Cased crystal consistently appreciates in value, is always collectible and is becoming more rare as companies turn to cheaper surface painting.
