I will have to see over time if it performs as well as a DHT blocker I previously used that was a light oil. It has a light herbal scent. I put the contents in another bottle that had a dropper for easier application, since I did not like the pump the product came with. The price was great. The outside bubble wrap packaging was okay but the cap was not put on tight/sealed and most of the product spilled all over the box it was in. I was happy when desertcart told me that I did not have to return the damaged product and that they would send me another one. Hopefully, the cap is screwed on tight/sealed this time so the product doesn't leak out. 1st UPDATE: Second bottle arrived and cap was on tight so no leakage. 2nd UPDATE: LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I swear by it and have recommended it to soooooo many people. I use both the shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment (just after i shower). My hair started falling out because of some medication I was on. And not wanting to stop the meds, because I didn't want the migraines to return. I looked for a way to stop the hair fall and return growth instead. This stopped the hair fall in the shower almost immediately! And within 6 weeks my hair started to feel fuller again and baby hairs returned. Now after a year of using it my hair is back to where it used to be. There was a time where amazon was out, backorder, and I had to go without it for a month. I tried some other stuff, didn't work at all my hair started falling out again, my scalp started tightening up getting itchy, dry and flaky again. I hated everything else. Finally it came back in stock! I guess my scalp was so irritated from scratching or just the other products because the very first time I used this stuff again, just the first time and only for a minute. It tingled my scalp some. I like the smell, but because of it being a very natural product, I do notice that it varies in color and smell slightly from batch to batch. But I have a super sensitive sniffer, I can smell a dish at a restaurant and tell you every ingredient, spice, ect they use. Sometimes the condition is white, sometimes it's more yellow. It is natural product variation. Due due where they source certain ingredients. Like some Shea butters can be more yellow vs white. And how long it's been sitting in a warehouse. The smell changes as it ages I've notice. Like the essential oils marinate with one another... lol I have tried other products from mountain top as well and have had very similar experience. I am a big fan of theirs. Oh and every bottle gives you a code for a free product, so there's a bonus!
