It's soft and shiny. But it does not look on me like it looks on some of the models in the pictures. It is like a little sack on my head. I do not want to be seen in it. I wear it at night in bed in the dark. But the truth is, it does what it is supposed to do, keeps my hair from fraying and fuzzing up with split ends. I can now comb my hair in the a.m., and it really does look pretty good. I used to get fuzz on each side of my head. My hairdresser wondered what could be causing it. I'm a side sleeper, and it was just from my pillow. I gave it 4 stars only because I look so bad in it! (You might look better.) But otherwise, it really does do the trick and does not fall off in the night. It is sometimes down low on my forehead, but it stays on. And it does not feel tight anywhere and does not wake me up during the night. I have very short hair.
