The Panasonic is smaller, MUCH lighter and easier to travel with, it also costs MUCH less. If weight and money are not significant, buy the Olympus; I prefer the Panasonic. People say matching the brand of lens to the camera results in better focusing results - I have not noticed any difference using the Olympus lens on my Panasonic camera though. **Q: Somebody knows the UV and polarizer filters diameter?** A: This lens is not designed to accept filters of any sort.
