Works Great on 3 Installations, Just Avoid Automatic Drivers
I purchased 3 of these units to convert the audio systems in our office from wired to wireless.First things first: USE THE INCLUDED INSTALLATION DISK. I initially tried to get away with hoping Windows 7 would automatically install the appropriate drivers, and while it initially appeared to be the case, it was never able to pair with any of the audio devices. After deleting the automatic Windows 7 drivers and using the included installation disk, I had no further problems.Secondly, while you are going through the pairing process with each device, windows might pop up a a dialog box may stating that the computer is attempting to check windows update. There should be a link in the box to cancel the process. Do so. The computer will then use the installed drivers to pair to the device. This was the process for 3 desktops, all running windows 7.As far as the physical adapter itself, it's very small and sits almost flush. Make sure you install it on a usb port with space around, as you'll need it if you ever want to remove the adapter.Once again, use the included drivers, DON'T USE WINDOWS UPDATE DRIVERS.

Amazing range and perfect for what I needed!
This little adapter is exactly what I was looking for, and it works great.I have a pair of Sol Republic Shadow Bluetooth headphones that I use for travel, exercise, etc. but I couldn't use it with my office computer to listen to music since it doesn't have native Bluetooth.I received the Oduo Lync-it adapter and got it installed on my Windows 7 PC, and after the drivers all installed automatically, I was able to pair instantly and now I can use my headphones at work. The only downfall is I had to unpair the headphones from my cellphone, but that's probably more of a limitation of the headphones. The range on this thing is what amazed me the most. My PC sits under my desk so I plugged it into my monitor's USB port to hopefully improve the range. I was able to walk all over my 10,000 s.f. office building in different hallways and rooms without any interference, static or skipping. Only in the extreme reaches of the building probably 100 feet away, through 2 sets of doors, in the back of our warehouse did I experience a breakdown in signal.I'm sure part of it is the strength of the headphone's capabilities, but I'm not going to take away from the Oduo's credit it deserves.Great product, and I highly recommend it. Amazingly low cost too.

Amazon customer review to the rescue!
I run a Win 7 on 64 bit HP laptop and installation was rocky.1. The driver comes on a mini CD that looked empty when I read it on a USB DVD drive2. No way the Win 7 built-in drivers work3. As mentioned by another customer, you need to get the drivers here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xw5evpagnzvgwzp/CSR4.0%20Harmony.zip?dl=1 (yes, it's legit)4. The range is limited to 8-10 ft, not 15 m (45 ft). Beyond that, sound degrades and produces scratch sound many others have noticed.Other than that, it's very decent. Not ideal but it works. I paired it with Logitech bluetooth receiver, which is simply perfect.

Worked (for a minute)
I bought this to connect a bluetooth mouse. I First tried to connect and windows update was unable to find a driver to make it work. Fine, but they only include a CD. My ultrabook (and most new laptops) doesnt have a CD drive. There doesnt seem to be an online presence to download one. Theres nearly zero info on the vendor through Amazon. I found a desktop PC and dropped the setup files on Google drive.Installed, voila....my mouse was discovered and worked great.....for a day. It dropped the device and no longer lets me add it saying the wrong pin was entered when pairing. There is no way to pair to the mouse now since this thing stopped recognizing a no-pin device.I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled with the same result. Its getting returned unfortunately.

Excellent!
This works perfectly! The computer I attached it to already had Bluetooth software installed and it immediately recognized this device. I did not need special software to install it (using Windows 7) and it immediately linked with my Bluetooth keyboard after it was paired. The small size keeps it from snagging and getting damaged and it has survived extreme temperature changes (65F to 0F) on a regular basis while performing as expected. I highly recommend this product, particularly at such a reasonable price.

However it was amazing, fast software install
I originally purchased the Kinivo Btd-400 Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter however this unit kept dropping the bluetooth signal and was so difficult reconnecting and sometimes failed to.However I purchased this no name brand that I was sort of hesitant because of the way it looks. However it was amazing, fast software install, and connects and reconnects every time with no issue. Lastly, the Bluetooth dongle is low profile, light.Loved it and returned my Kinovo BT bluetooth.

Frustrating setup, inconsistant performance
I found the adapter to have several shortcomings:1) The audio from music starts to lag after 20 minutes of play and will fall behind what the computer is actually playing. When the lagging peaks, the audio transmitted will skip and jump forward and your listening experience will be ruined.2) The software included on the CD for install is bloated (300MB install file) and does not work well. If you plug in the adapter and have microsoft search for drivers a much smaller one will be downloaded and it will work better than the CD file.3) The adapter will only sync with my bluetooth audio receiver (one made by Logitech) about 50% of the time. If the sync cannot be made the only fix I have identified is to restart my computer and rest the audio settings.Bottom line - when this transmitter works it works well. But at least 70% of the time the performance is lackluster and frustrating.
