I've had this watch now for about a year. I love it and it's probably one of my favorite watches. I figured it was a reasonably inexpensive way to see if I'd like ceramic watches. In fact, I got more compliments on this watch than watches I own that cost 4x as much. It's also super light and comfortable to wear. There's just one problem - the ceramic links are VERY brittle on this watch and I've broken 3 of them in just a year. One was when the watch was dropped from about 2 feet above hardwood floors. I didn't think that would create much impact, but a link simply shattered. The other two times were traveling and the watch was IN a watch case - links still broke. Finally, when strapping it onto a foam insert for a watch case, the pin connecting the strap to the watch face shattered the ceramic and now it's completely useless. I'm sad because I really liked the watch. I'd buy another ceramic watch in a heartbeat, but probably not this one.

This arrived broken. I thought it was the battery, but when i took it to be replaced I was told they're is an internal problem. I was eventually given a full refund.The watch itself if it worked was pretty.

Edit: I bought another of these, years later now and from who is now the only seller for this watch anymore. What I received has a black back plate behind the dials hands - not a deep purple as shown in the picture. It also looks somewhat silvery - as though someone swirled silver paint into a can of black paint and didn't properly mix it. Definitely an imperfection - not a feature.What I received today does not even begin to come close to how the original watch looked. The band is also tighter. My old one of these at least looked nice. This thing I got today looks like I could have bought it at the dollar store. Seriously - a $10 watch from the grocery store would surpass this in quality and value.Original review below:I've had multiple comments on how beautiful this watch is from people who could buy and sell me 10x over. (Doctors & administration at the hospital I work at). It fits any occasion, from work to ultra formal, and the band really is extremely scratch resistant. Personally I think this looks better than most Skagen/Citizen watches.In fact, the only reason why I am not giving this five stars is how fragile the internals are. I am on my THIRD one (Paid $35 for the first one, bought two more when I realized what was up). I know my third one will break in 6-12 months of use. Just from swimming in a 5 foot deep pool for less than an hour (realistically, never submerging my hands more than 2 or 3 feet) the enclosure became waterlogged, as in it was filled with water except for one tiny air bubble. By the time I had noticed it had quit ticking, and Rougois refused to replace it under warranty, despite this listing claiming it to be water resistant for 30 feet deep.As much as the customer service and quality of the internals suck, I bought two more since I can't find anything that *looks* this nice for anywhere near this price. (Again, this watch looks just as good as a citizen).In less than a year, the repetitive task of washing my hands while using the bathroom claimed #2. (I took it off when showering/swimming/dishes/etc). Yes, that's right, just the repetitive task of washing my hands after taking a dump took out one of these in less than a year. About 6 months into #2 I noticed condensation inside it, and a couple months later it quit ticking, and a battery change didn't fix it.So now I'm on #3, and I save it for special occasions. Also, seeing as the cost has gone up double since I bought my last set in 2014, I would honestly at this point recommend just ponying up for a skagen or citizen. (Type in mens black ceramic <brand>). This is BEAUTIFUL cheap crap that nobody will recognize as being cheap crap, but anything over $30 is pushing it. Seriously - the $10 timex watches at walmart are built better (but they look like the cheap crap they are).

I fell in love with how it looks and was flying around that I have it. I wore it for the third time (and all three times it was under the flees jacket) when I noticed while driving that the corner of the body right at where it meets the handle was chipped. I almost cried. I loved the watch and could not believe that a simple wear without even hitting it could result in such damage.The next day I wrote to the company and they refused even talk about it! The only sentence I was getting, that this ceramic is incredibly strong and that I had to hit it, drop it or do some damage on purpose to result in this damage. I tried nicely to explain it wasn't the case, but they wouldn't listen. It's sad they are not customer orientated, but I feel lucky having amazon's A-Z guarantee: they had leverage just enough to persuade the seller to reimburse me for the damaged item. I had to pay the return shipping though, which I would rather not pay, since I do not feel obligated paying for the item that's damaged and end up with no item, lost time and lost money.

Love the style but if you don't wear regularly be prepared to reset constantly.

Arrived chipped and because the packaging is heavy, had to pay quite a bit to ship it back for a refund. So basically, I just lost some money.
