**Q: How does the water line attach? Would like to use garden hose to a elevated tank.**
A: We attach the short length of hose it comes with to a water line that runs through an insulated pipe and down underground — below frost level — to our well pump.  We live in Idaho, and learned the hard way years ago that the water line needs to go straight down under this heated unit to below frost line or it will freeze.  We couldn’t use a garden hose here, but maybe you can in a warmer climate?  I might also wonder if the garden hose would have enough pressure for the valve float to work, but I think  the instructions it comes with tells you how much pressure you need.  I also don’t think the hose it comes with is the same diameter as a garden hose, so you’d need to set up some kind of adapter.  Hope this helps!

**Q: What is the gallon capacity?**
A: Seems to me to have brimming capacity of about 4 gallons.  But depending on how you set float control it could be as low as 2.

**Q: is this a 110 unit**
A: Yes it is.

**Q: does it have lids and mud gaurd**
A: Yes, it has both.
