A Porsche 911 S and BMW X5. Both are dark gray in color. This stuff works great on both. I have been detailing cars for 30 years and I actually switched to this stuff because it works so well. I would assume it would work well on a black car. Use a clean micro cloth to apply. Spray on the car a section at a time. Wash the car first. Appling on a dirty car will work the dirt like sand paper. It will dull and scratch the finish.
