There were lots of comments in the reviews about the size being huge so I played it safe and went for a medium rather than a large. In fact, a large would have been a better fit; medium is okay but it's quite snug and I couldn't wear a sweater underneath it.I'm not convinced about the overall quality of the garment. Less than a week after I got it the material for the detachable hood started pilling, then a few weeks after that one of the button holes for the hood broke. I don't know why it's designed that way, with two zips and a few buttons rather than having a single zip that goes all the way round. The button holes (more like loops) are very delicate and it was only a matter of time before one broke.I would not describe this as a winter coat by any means. It was okay for late October and tolerable in November but once the weather turned really cold I had to revert to the old coat that I was meant to be replacing. Also, the side pockets seem to be primarily for keeping your hands warm. Certainly, the angle of them is such that things would likely fall out after a while. The jacket shipped from Germany to UK in 3 days, arrived into a nearby Amazon Locker in pristine condition, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.The leather is soft and of great quality. The stitching, lining, removable hood section, and the feel of the jacket is up there with products at double the price.
