Even measured the slot and it's not 2 inches. Any problems anyone else?** A: We have 2X2 35 mm slides from my husband’s tour in the late 60’s. No problem. Sorry you’re having a problem. Was great to show our family. **Q: Can this view old 2x2 glass slides?** A: I would say no. I've used the viewer for hundreds of cardboard mount slides, which appear to be slightly smaller than 2x2. They work but barely fit. I just cut out a piece of cardboard 2x2 and tried it. It won't slide into the viewer. Plus the glass slides are probably thicker than the cardboard slides. So, although I don't have a glass slide to try, my best guess is it will be too wide and too thick to work. **Q: Is this made in China?** A: I do not know for a fact. I purchased this viewer for an elderly lady who needed to go through a large amount of slides. Made in China? It DOES NOT magnify the slide so you are not able to make out certain details. It does do what it claims which is view slides.
