The only problem I found with it is that the metal pieces that hold up the wooden handle get hot, so you have to be careful to not get burned. **Q: Is this item seasoned and if not, what is your recommendation?** A: Yes, mine was slightly seasoned. However, I seasoned mine again. Remove the handle, oil it, and bake it at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes.
