Q: The trigger is too sensitive, is there a way to adjust it? It snaps shut when the chipmunk just walks by.

The entire trip mechanism is easy to bend and "adjust". Just don't bend it too much! You might want to look at the weight of your bait too. I was using chicken wings. The outer section is perfect, but the "inner" part of the wing was just too heavy for the trap's trigger.

Q: Could a small mouse get out of the holes between wires?

The mesh of this trap is 3/8" squares. Never say never, but it would take a really small mouse to get out of it, in my experience.

Q: Can this trap be used to catch rabbits?

I have caught a small oppousm in one of these traps. It could barley move but it fit. I think you might have an issue getting a rabbit to go into the trap but I'm sure it would fit.
