Has formaldehyde, so use carefully. *by G***S on Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2021* So I really wanted to try a keratin hair treatment without paying hundreds of dollars and risking Covid at a salon. I have thick, slightly wavy Caucasian hair that is regularly colored and I struggled with bad frizziness. I bought this product through Amazon as it was one of the cheaper keratin products. I’m writing this review 2+ weeks after doing the treatment myself at home and about 4 hair washes later.Pros:- it’s a real keratin treatment. It works very well!- multiple hair washes and 2 weeks later my hair still has a wonderfully soft and less frizzy texture for my hair type. I did not notice any change to my hair color either.- I was able to air dry my hair and it stayed beautifully straight!- very affordable- love my hair post treatment, easier to manage, no more frizzCons:- the smell and fumes are intense! My eyes were burning and crying when flat ironing at the end. I will only plan to do once or twice a year because of how difficult it was. I suggest getting a 2nd person to help apply the treatment and iron, and don’t do it solo.- the smell lasts for days and gets in your pillow since you’re not suppose to wash your hair for 2 days after treatment (it’s very unpleasant)- definitely has some formaldehyde, which is why it’s so effective and so pungent and harsh to your eyes, throat and nose- I do not believe the company or product is made in the US, it’s foreign. I just like saving money. I had previously done my hair at a salon and they used a different treatment. I could tell because it smelled different and it was very flaky when they dried it. I used the Keratin Straightening kits and my hair turned out gorgeous. You just have to make sure you blow dry it VERY straight, like they do in the salon and also seal it with the hair straightener. El tratamiento 72 horas no llevo ni un día y fue imposible dormir la primera noche porq te. Quema la nariz y garganta luego durante el día suelta gases y sigue hiriendo espero dormir esta noche la verdad pienso q es demasiado fuerte y tóxico y si no puedo dormir me voy a la lavarlo de una porq es un martirio el pelo se siente duro y pesado porq. Aun sigue con el producto espero.
