You can flip a random page and read "Horny Italian" for the night and put it back to your shelf where it looks great, or you can study it all and then put your knowledge on test later. The content is well selected and applies to a wide-range of casual conversations. It is, indeed, a lot of Dirty Italian. When you go to another country you hear the everyday street language, words which are usually not taught in class. Just like in your native language the words used in other daily street languages change over time. Learning the street language takes just as much time and effort as learning the "proper" words, phrases, & sentences but is generally more fun. This book is an excellent first book for learning the necessary street language or to update your knowledge to know if you are being given directions or an insult. Linguistics & languages are my hobby so I use a lot of language learning materials. This book is definitely prominently situated on my bookshelf.
