Amazon great, sent out new one same day - same problem with the replacement before we'd done anything with it! Very disappointed daughter, still not got her Christmas gift, trying to find a replacement with as much memory and that is easy to use. Nice and compact, but not too small and fiddly like some on the market. I especially like the fact that it runs from Windows Media Player, and doesnt need any additional software. The only critisms are the headphones and the fact that the only way to charge is via a USB port, unless you spend another £20 on a mains charger. i have upgraded the headphones to Sennheiser MX350's, which are quite cheap and much, much better sound quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Smashing piece of kit and technology from Archos *by D***0 on 12 January 2006* Came very close to buying the last Sony digital player - but stopped after reading the reviews - decided on this - and what a fab decision. Just a great player. No software. Just use Windows Media 10 (or 9) to copy music etc over to player. Playes for sure guarantee - mp3/wav/wma. Just brilliant. Superb sound quality. Very light in weight - but robust casing. 3 colours to choose from. Enormous amount of disk space.For my money in knocks other players into a cocked hat. Been using for week - no drawbacks so far. Excellent battery life. I did buy better earphones (recommend Phillips). Excellent price as well. Also visit Archos website - They have been around since 1988 - but who has ever heard of them????
