I didn’t take a backing off! It was a little difficult to Separate the backing from the film but once I did it was soo much more cooperative! Reading the comments I think that’s what most of the people’s issues are! I added soap and water to the window and the product. That was easy. However, the 1st part of the role the corners would not stay stuck. I tried to rewet the product and windows but no. So that part is horrible because I was worried if the others were defect too. Another part did not stick either. I think I will be another brand for my other window and to replace the ones that dis work. Update* it's only been like two weeks and they are already starting to peel off. Its a little translucent, but I know that when I purchase it.
