Being unable to figure it out myself, I ended up emailing customer support to see if they could offer any help. After a few back-and-forths with them over email, they told me that they believed that the product was incompatible with the operating system and they offered to refund me the cost of the adapter, without me even asking, which was surprising and much appreciated. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked like a Champ *by A***R on April 2, 2020* Purchased this to add a second HDMI output to my laptop. It could not have been simpler. Plugged it in, opened the file in File Explorer and ran the executable to install the driver. Connected the second monitor. That's it. Image is good and accepts several resolution options. I did a lot of searching for a way to do this and this was by far the simplest and most cost effective of the options. ### ⭐ Doesn't Work *by A***S on August 16, 2020* Doesn't work and i'm past the return date. If I could give it less than 1 star, I would. Screen consistently blacks out, driver is worthless, and customer support may as well be non-existent as horrible as it was. If you look at other similar products hobbled together by this terrible company, you will see many of the same complaints. They even have some products with more negative reviews than positive ones! This company is BLACKLISTED in my circle. After seeing what I went through with these charlatans, none of us will be purchasing anything from them again.
