I read on line that one of the things to pack on a cruise trip is magnetic clamps because the walls in the cabin are steel allowing you extra hanging space. I choose the 40 lb capability and was not disappointed. You need a tractor to pull these off a metal surface. If you exceed the weight level on a smooth wall it may slip but for normal hanging they were great. Purchased nine (3 -3 packs) but only took 6 but wished I had the other three. The smooth walls of our cabin were steel and three hooks per side were ideal for hats, belts, and other light hanging stuff. Superior strength, great job and wouldn't leave home on vacation, ship or not without them.

These hold mop, broom, and hair dryer on front side posts of metal shelves. I had weaker magnetic hooks that would slither down or pop off and attach themselves somewhere out of sight. These stay in place. I wish the hooks didn't hook so much. They won't fit through some of the holes in handles. More of a right-angle shape would fit more hole sizes. But the hook part screws in. I could put a different peg or hook there. Happy with these. They do what I needed.

I wanted some seriously strong magnets with hooks to put on the side of my oven to hold oven mitts. They needed to be strong enough to stay on the oven as I grabbed the mitt. These babies are so strong, they'd hold the darned oven! Okay, I'm exaggerating, but they really are about as strong as you could expect. While I only hang oven mitts and aprons from them, they are strong enough to hold coffee mugs, tools, utensils, pots and pans, etc. I love them so much I bought a second set for the fridge. My husband wishes they had a version with hooks that dangle or hang, but I'm fine them as is. Definitely a best buy!

I really like these hanging magnets. I bought them for the back of our front door in student housing to hang winter jackets. They work well. The 4/5 stars is only because it said they could hold 40 pounds. I would say its closer to 20-25 pounds if the item is long in length... I have a Canada Goose full length jacket that definitely does not weigh 40 pounds. However, this magnet could not hold it up.

These are strong, Really really strong. They do hold a lot of weight. If you put them on something that is powder coated or delicate in any way it will take off the coating/paint. If you are planning to do this, put some duck tape over the magnet! Ask me how I know!!!

We received our Madison 40 pound capacity magnet hooks a few days ago, and was very please with them. My wife is using them to hold a reef that she won from the Red Hat Society which is on her front door now, she's so please how well this hooks are working out . They are perfect, couldn't ask for anything better. Thank you .

Bought these to use in my classroom that has virtually NO storage! I hang them on the side of a metal cabinet and these suckers are STRONG!! I can hang my winter coat on them and they handle them with ease. Great purchase!!

Good made product but have not yet used them. I purchased them for an upcoming cruise. Plan on using them to hang hats and other item on cruise ship cabin wall. These are very strong for their size. I was surprised on how small they were. They will be great to carry in luggage because of the small size.
