Gods and Goddesses galore
The only thing I didn't like was that they don't go more into Mannanan mac Lir. If you follow him maybe something else, but it is good for the other more prominent members of the Pantheon. I would buy it again because of that.

Good starting point
This book has been a treat to read. I appreciate the authors attention to detail and making it clear that these are just THEIR interpretations of these gods and goddesses. The bibliography is very complete and has made a great reference for future literature I’d like to read.

Sad Celtic Goddess
I like the content enough but was disappointed to find it is so small. Perhaps it was my fault but I did think there would be more to it.

Not worth the price.
Disappointing, according to the author if you don't reside in Celtic lands you should not stick to Celtic deities, you must worship the local deities from the land you live in. That doesn't work for me at all, I don't live in the British isles but have always felt a deep connection to that lands and its pagan deities. What's the point in worshiping Gods you don't feel connected with ? It doesn't make sense. Does it mean if you want to be a Buddhist or hinduist you must move to Asia or India? For me, the kind of spirituality one decides to follow is something too personal because you feel it, in other words it comes from the inside, and no one has the right to dictate in what you should believe in. I've been a worshiper of Danu for the last ten year, and I can assure the author: I've never felt the need of living in Ireland in order to feel her near me. Moreover, the deities are not covered in rich details along the book, all the stuff can be found in the web for free. I've just given two stars because of the cover.

Lacking and Inaccurate
Wanted to read more about the Celtic deities and was sorely disappointed. The section on the Morrigan is so small. A lot more exists on her than the authors imply. They also paint her as completely evil and horrible. Not worth your time, since the authors certainly seem to have picked and chose which deities they deemed "worth their time" instead of reporting all the stories.

Easy to understand. Just enough information to make it interesting!!

Better books out there
I thought I would like this book after reading the introduction and first chapter. But the author says The Morrigan is a goddess of serial killers? This is inaccurate to say the least. It seems the authors engaged in just enough research to seem legitimate, and then went off on wild speculations and wishful thinking for the rest. There are better books out there with more accurate information.

Same as Magic of the Celtic gods and goddesses
The book in itself is very valid but it is exactly the same book as Magic of the Celtic gods and goddesses, published some years ago by another publisher. The first print is still on sale on Amazon and I already had it. So, had I knew it, I wouldn’t have bought this new copy which is exactly the same as the original one, just printed in larger letters.
