I plan on using them to kneel on in a canoe. The blue one is pretty firm, but testing it on the floor it is substantial enough to support me with enough give for my old cranky knees. I do have one gripe- as you can see by the photo I posted, the green one is NOT 1 inch thick... It's more like 3/4". As a result, it's not as supportive... no way could I use just the green one alone. I may actually stack them (with the help of some electrical tape) using the green (softer) one on top as a cushion under my knees and the blue on the bottom to provide support.
