We put non-pattern light colored underwear under the shorts and it’s not see through. She says it’s NOT itchy. The material is actually pretty good I think it will wash fine. It’s not too thin or see through. Pom poms it came with are cute. The waist of the skirt is elastic and the whole outfit is stretchy so it’s better for accommodating different shapes and sizes. She has her arms up in the picture, but the top is NOT cropped when arms are down. She just has a long torso so when arms go up it shows a sliver of belly. Skirt can be pulled up higher on waist or worn lower for more length. Not too short. Good buy my daughter loves it overall. I would say it runs true to size for average sized kids.
