It's easy to assemble until I got to the ladder part. The directions are minimal at best. I can't get the ladder to line up right so it sits on top of the cat cubby right. I have tried every possible thing I can. It's just weird and really frustrating. I've had to wear rubber gloves too because that rope stuff keeps stabbing me in the fingers. For her it's perfect. If you have a large cat I would say don't buy it. This is for kittens or a small cat. No matter how much I tighten it, it's still a little wobbly so I had to give it 4 stars for sturdiness. Since Maise doesn't weigh very much it's not that big of a problem. I have a 6ft tall tree and a 5ft tall tree for my 13 otherregular sized and larger sized cats.
