If you leave cable plugged in, it won’t auto detect you plugging the other end in and you will need to hit the power button to wake it up to charge. I can use it for up to a week without recharging the charger. It charges quickly and the % remaining is really clear to see how much power is left in the battery. On the flip side, I travel a lot and this thing weighs much more than my previous charger. I'm always conscious of how much things weigh because moving from gate to gate in an airport can give some sore shoulders when carrying a bag that weighs too much. For that reason, I choose to use a different one in my purse or shoulder bag.It's not going to fit easily in a pocket either, so think about where you're going to use it and determine if size and weight matter for you. Another under 5 star feature is the overall feel. The casing feels a bit cheap and the same with the plugs. To be clear - they work just fine, but they don't have a "wow" factor on quality of the actual device.Also, when the battery itself isn't plugged in, you have to push a button to start charging your phone. Otherwise, you can be connected, but the battery isn't sharing its juice with your phone.
