They were sturdy, but dirty when I received them as if they were packed away for several months in a warehouse. Other then that I was pleased with the product. It is heavy, sturdy and classy look. We liked the simplicity of the base. Nothing too extravagant. The main glass is not too thin and not too thick. After we bought our first 4...we then bought another 4 because they worked so well. Always good to have back up when one breaks.
