Sometimes the shampoo can leave a tinge of lilac in more porous parts of the hair if you find the diluted mix does not give the desired tone, use the shampoo as normal. My hair is already a nice blond but I wanted ice white and I definatly got that result. I washed my hair as normal then applied a generous amount maybe just smaller than the palm of my hand lathered it up then put it all over my pre shampoos wet hair. As my hair is already quite light I only left it on my hair for about 7 minuites and kept massaging it through the ends I didnt want my hair to turn silver/grey so I kept an eye on my hair. I could see as soon as I had conditioned and raised that my hair hed definatly changed. So much so that a lovely lady stopped me just to say how beautiful my hair was.
