I keep a small tablet there, and always have a pile of paperwork that I'm processing, plus a clock to keep an eye on the time (I have 1 hr appointments with clients) and other various stuff.This shelf gives me the space to have my clock, pens, and tablet raised up and my paperwork underneath … that little bit of additional space really makes the desk look a lot more organized.Adding photos to show how it works. To get the low height you just use it is as it comes out of the box. Medium height, flip the "legs" out. There's a button on them to release them to fold them back down. Full height involves clipping on another addition to the "legs". Easy Peasy!It seems pretty sturdy for the job.
