This is definitely NOT for cats with sensitive teeth. The kibble is large and crunchy because that’s how it works to clean teeth! And it really does seem to work. I feed my cats Nulo kibble and canned food which is high quality, species-appropriate, very good quality food, but the kibble is tiny, so it does not benefit their teeth. I purchased a small bag of this food and use it as treats. I’ve been giving my kitties about 4-5 pieces each, once a day at treat time, and I’m shocked that I already see a difference. They had already been getting the same number of Greenies treats and these seem to work much better. My cats are both less than a year old, but tartar has already started, and with that I was seeing some redness starting around the gumline by the tartar. Due to several illnesses when we got them, we had to prioritize their medicine over training them for teeth cleaning, so they are both averse to having their teeth brushed.
