The silicone is soft to touch and perfect to protect from scratching, which is what prompted me to buy a case for the AirPods I received this past Christmas. I had noticed slight scratches on the case only a week into regular use, like from putting them in my pocket and my purse- pretty bad on Apple. This is also going to protect from the slight debris that I was noticing from regular use too. But, out of all the casing I could find, this one was the best deal because of the accessories. They’re pretty to look at, soft to touch, AND it even came with the extra silicone earbud covers that I was not expecting- which they make the pods even more secure, so much so that I don’t even think I need to wear both the string attachment AND the earpieces at the same time (like for jogging). Also, the pompom is SUPER soft, I was expecting a cheap Pompom that has the same feel as the cheap stuffed animals in claw games but it’s definitely a higher quality soft- like animal fur (but I’m pretty sure it’s not actual animal fur).
