How do I store it to stay alive, healthy and it not turning into something that only make vinegar?** A: I'm not sure exactly how long, but I recieved two seald packages. The first package I used 4 days after I got it. And second package two weeks later. But I did notice that the second bag expand because of fermentation process and cobi mushrooms got dull in color. However I still made the tea and 7 days after cobi grew normal way and picked up on color and tested the same as first one. Taste of kombucha varies depend on tea, how much sugar or honey you added and time it is in a jar. **Q: Two scobys make one gallon? Or two scobys in one half gallon?** A: A 5oz scoby makes 1 gallon **Q: I have a friend sending over the product from the us to asia. is it still safe to use if shipping will take 3-4 weeks?** A: NO. It is fermented product. It should not be exposed to temperature change and it need air and food (sugarand tea). I had this product in vacuum sealed package for two weeks in home temperature and it was ready to explode. It also changed it color. We followed the instruction that came with them, and they adjusted well to their new home. First fermentation happened with a nice fizz. We just flavored (lemon ginger) and bottled for second fermentation. Helps to start with two scobies in case one didn’t work. But they’re both happy and doing their thing so we plan to keep them going.
