The package came damaged but it's a solid piece of steel so it doesn't seem affected. The base plate for hammering is quite large, but the spindle on the vise part turns a little stiff and has some wiggle in it, it may or may not be functionally square for some items. I will test it further to determine if the wiggle impacts the clamping.
