This container pump kit with fountain nozzles, converts a container into an instant water garden, a birdbath, decorative fountain or mini pond. Simply assemble the fountain, connect it to the pump base and place it inside a waterproof container that is at least 1 ft. deep. Add water to completely submerse the pump and plug the cord into an outlet. You can change or adjust the nozzles for different water effects.

I was hoping this was the same design as a pump I was replacing (after 4 years of continuous use) and it seems to be! I have a very small preform pond & water feature with a few goldfish, and this little number actually does the trick. Filter is easy to clean & the pump keeps going even if I need to clean the filter. It just slows down on water volume- then know it needs a cleaning. Happy fish, happy customer- nice, sturdy little fountain pump!

I've only been using this a couple of months but it is working great. I had a problem with the cheaper ones getting clogged with leaves. This has a filter block that makes clogging a lot more difficult. The instructions are accurate and easy to understand. I can't really speak to longevity but the cheaper units lasted about one season due to clogging, causing the motor to overheat. Without the clogging I would anticipate this unit lasting longer.
