Finally I ended up opening it up ( I am an EE). This horribly designed non working, waste of a $15 adapter that Amazon sells is made out of two female ends and a pwb ( printed wire board). The whole thing is then submerged in epoxy, which is then covered with cheap chinese plastic. It took me forever to open it up to see what was wrong with it. It was the ground cable....it was never attached probably but the people who made this thing did not notice that since all that epoxy was holding it in place although solder was not there. I took a picture of the cheap insides of this connector but can't find a place to post it here. Just take my word, what they are doing is basically robbery at $15. There is another connector on Amazon and they want $25 for it, it looks exactly the same. Since there are not too many Display port couplers out there, people are trying to get away with robbery....at least make it work. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dual monitor setup with ease *by O***S on April 20, 2020* So far so good...up in minutes.
