Haven't had trouble there, even with painted epee grips.The fabric/"leather" has worn out in the fingers on my son's glove (practices 4-5 times a week), but it's not like we haven't worn out other gloves from bigger vendors. I haven't had trouble with mine (fencing 3 times a week).These are not fancy FIE gloves. They are pretty good inexpensive gloves that are suitable for adults.
