Not sure if actually leather. They fit my feet like a glove and give lots of support for tai chi I wish they were not quite as high around the ankles, I keep top holes unlaced. I just am not fond of the confinement of sneakers, so that is me. I am a little annoyed that in the soon the shoes look cream not white, contrasting with the seams which are white. They will do the job. I added a cushioned insole. No Arch support. But neither did the water shoes I was using, ok for tai chi. Delivered very quickly. Be careful your size is in US... Next size up required a wait for China shipment.
