They are not super snug, so easy to get on and off. I like the velcro closure on the bottom of the wrist which is less prone to snagging long sleeve jerseys or arm warmers than the gloves with the velcro on top of the wrist. The palms of these gloves are thin, but very durable. I've tried cheap no-name gloves in the past and they always wear holes in the palms after a few months, but these Pearl Izumi gloves keep on going. The hook/loop closure strap is a little tricky to open as the part to which it adheres fits it exactly. When you pull the tab (which is already quite small) it tries to pull up the attachment point. That's not a huge deal but I could see it causing wear issues prematurely if you aren't careful.
