I put the buzzer inside my pillowcase, since I oddly toss my pillow around in my sleep (?) and YES, it wakes me up! Even though I have the sound turned all the way down, it wakes my cats as well. (I didn't want to puncture their eardrums.) My bedroom is more old-fashioned with lace and curlicues, so it's not the best fit aesthetically, but until I find its equivalent in a oldy-type clock, I'll be happy to stick with this. I only use the night light to remind me to put the alarm back on when I get up early, but it's very colorful and pretty. For those who need one.
